A glorious June evening on the North Wales coast, and my wife Liz and I were taking full advantage of the lovely weather to enjoy a bracing stroll along the promenade above the massive beach at Rhyl.
The tide was out at the time, leaving a patchwork of tidal pools on the sand which caught the light of the lowering sun in a most appealing fashion.
So appealing in fact, that I couldn't resist taking a few photos of the scene, shooting directly into the sun with a small aperture selected to create a starburst effect.
You just can't beat the North Wales coast when the light and weather come together!
