After a day of rain my wife Liz and I were certainly glad to see the sun finally break through, so it was off to the North Wales coast for a bracing stroll in the sea air.
Our chosen destination was the promenade at Rhyl, giving views out across the acres of sandy beach, complete with long lines of groynes pointing seawards out towards the offshore Gwynt y Mor windfarm on the horizon.
After our walk there was still an hour or so free time left to us, which I used to shoot the hundreds of stills needed to make this time lapse video of the sun slowly sinking towards the western horizon as gentle clouds blew over the beach.
Then it was time for the drive home, refreshed after a good dose of sunshine, sea breezes and photography.
