One sunny Saturday afternoon during August 2020 my wife Liz and I decided to take drive in the opposite direction from our usual haunts around North Wales, and head instead to the Wirral to have a look at the River Mersey and the famous Liverpool skyline on the far side of the water.
I'd never seen the Liverpool waterfront skyline from here, and I was quite blown away with the dramatic architecture, ranging from modern skyscapers to the iconic 'Three Graces', including the world famous Royal Liver Building.
With broken clouds scudding across the heavens, painting the buildings of Liverpool below in a moving patchwork of sunlight and shadow, conditions were ideal for a time lapse video shoot.
So I set up my camera on the promenade at Seacombe Dock to capture the hundreds of still images needed to create my Merseyside Timelapse #2 video.
This is one of those captures, selected to present as a standalone image thanks to the juxtaposition of brightly lit buildings and threatening clouds overhead.
