It's now late March, and at latitude 53°N in North Wales the days are getting longer as the strengthening sun makes its presence felt.
This is a wonderful time of the year to be out and about, and with beautiful coastlines, dramatic mountains, peaceful lakes and mysterious woods to explore my wife Liz and I are spoilt for choice as to where to go next.
But one place we always appreciate ending up at at the end of the day is Caernarfon on the North Wales coast.
With its imposing UNESCO World Heritage site castle, this medieval walled town is a delight to walk around and photograph.
Add in the friendly Galeri Café on the waterfront at the Victoria Dock harbour, with tasty food, warmth and toilets and you can't go wrong!
Which is where Liz and I watched this lovely sunset from while enjoying a bite to eat and a hot drink.
Well, Liz was sat in the café but I was out on the harbour wall a few feet away, hunched over my camera busy taking the hundreds of still images I need to create my Caernarfon Timelapse #12 video as the sun set and day faded into night.
This still image is one of those taken towards the end of the time lapse sequence, and cool blue tones of nautical twilight in the sky contrasting with the warm yellow tones of artificial light painting the boats in the foreground.

Filters - 2 stop neutral density filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky.
