A rare sunny winter's day spent exploring the beauties of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales ended with a trip to the coast at the world heritage town of Caernarfon.
Usually I'll be found photographing the amazing waterfront castle, but on this occasion I decided on a different angle, catching the sunset over the Menai Straits from the small harbour of Victoria Dock.
The moored boats and yachts gave me some great foreground interest for my video, especially as the natural light fell away as dusk progressed into night and the white painted hulls caught the artificial illumination provided by the nearby harbour lights.
Even better, I was filming right next to the Galeri cafe, with the promise of an all day breakfast to warm my chilled bones once I'd captured the hundreds (just over 1,000 actually) still images I needed for the time lapse.
