By two thirty in the afternoon, I'd already been clambering up and down the slopes of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, for eleven hours, having started very early in the morning shooting the still images for my Llyn Llydaw Timelapse #1 video.
But before I could collapse for the day there was one more view I wanted to capture, looking down the Pass of Llanberis as patches of sunlight and shadow raced across the landscape from the thickening clouds overhead.
So, having climbed down the Miner's Track from my previous excursions, I girded my loins and hauled myself up the Pyg Track, LowePro on my back, to get to see this wonderful view down the pass, with the summit of Snowdon looming to the left of the scene.
Having set my camera up shooting the hundreds of still images needed for this time lapse video I indulged myself with a brief doze on a sun warmed slab of rock until the absense of clicking told me that my memory card was finally full.
Then it was a climb back down to the Pen-y-Pass car park and a much needed 'all day breakfast' in the cafe before getting in the car for a drive down to the coast to finish the day shooting yet another time lapse at Caernarfon castle.
But that's another story.
