A beautiful summer's morning and I'm up very early to catch the sun rising over the Point of Ayr lighthouse, that North Wales photographic icon perched improbably in the sand of the beach at Talacre.
My plan on this late July morning was to take hundreds of still images in order to create my Talacre Sunrise Timelapse #1 video as the tide slowly ebbed from its peak just a little higher up the beach that the lighthouse itself.
Well, I had an amazing time!
Not only was the horizon clear for once, allowing me to catch a 'proper' sunrise, but the light clouds in the sky above caught the warm dawn colours in a stunning display that lasted quite a while after the actual sunrise.
I selected this individual frame from early on in the shoot, before the sun had risen at around 5.00am, to show those wonderful dawn colours in all their glory.
What a way to start the day, watching God's wisdom and love displayed so magnificently in His creation!
