A brief break in the December wind and rain had my wife Liz and I jumping in the car and heading for the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park for some much needed fresh air and a change of scenery.
After a tour of some of our favourite beauty spots we ended up overlooking Llyn Mymbyr as sunset approached.
Conditions were amazingly calm for the time of year, with the snow dusted peaks of the Snowdon Horseshoe reflecting beautifully in the lake's crystal waters.
So a climb down to the lakeshore was in order, laden down with photographic gear in order to capture the hundreds of still images required to create my Llyn Mymbyr Timelapse #15 video.
But before I started on the time lapse shoot I took the time to compose and shoot some very wide angle images, of which this is one, placing emphasis on the lakeshore and the perfect reflections of the mountains, trees and sky in the mirror-like surface of Llyn Mymbyr.
