Just to the south of Estes Park, nestled up against the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, lies the lovely Lily Lake.
My wife Liz and I made a few visits to the lake during our two week stay in Estes Park, revelling in the tranquility and beauty of this little gem.
One evening we decided to stay late and see how the sunset colours might look, reflecting in the mirror-like waters.
This image is actually one of 470+ that I took that evening to make my Rocky Mountain Time Lapse #7 video, and shows the time of the evening when the clouds were lit most attractively by the setting sun.
The hills either side of the lake were rendered completely black, giving a surreal 'Rorschach Ink Blot' look to the scene.
