The story behind this image

A lovely summer's eve on the North Wales coast at Rhos-on-Sea and my wife Liz and I are out enjoying a walk along the promenade overlooking the small harbour with its smattering of boats, marooned in the sand at low tide.

With sunset approaching, a quick check on the tide tables told me that the tide had turned and was coming back in.

So instead of packing up and going home, we settled down with a cup of takeaway coffee each while I set my camera and tripod up on the seawall overlooking the harbour to record a few hundred images to be processed into a time lapse video showing the tide coming in as dusk fell over Colwyn Bay.

I'm glad we stayed, as the scene unfolded very nicely over the next hour or so, and this image is one of those taken early on in the time lapse sequence, before the tide made it into the harbour.
