A cold, crisp day in mid January and the low angled sunlight is cutting through the pure Snowdonia air like a knife, painting the winter landscape around Llyn Crafnant in stunning shades of gold, orange and brown.
It was the perfect day to go for a hike in this beautiful part of the National Park in North Wales, which is just what my wife Liz and I did, tramping the well laid out path and road that circumnavigates the lake.
This particular image shows the view across the waters of the lake at the end nearest the car park, with the brown colours of winter reflecting in the surface of Llyn Crafnant.
Nature just waiting for the first kiss of Spring to burst into life again.
