The coast of southern Ireland around Cork is a maze of charming little bays and inlets, which my wife Liz and I had the opportunity to briefly explore one beautiful December afternoon while waiting for a flight back home from Cork airport.
First of all we took a good look around Kinsale then, as teatime approached, we headed over to the nearby Summercove, hoping to get a meal at the hightly recommended Bulman Bar and Toddies Restaurant.
But when we got there we found that the only day of the week the restaurant was closed was today!
All was not lost however, as I was able to capture this lovely scene looking back towards Kinsale from the Summercove waterfront, using my RyanAir compatible camera kit comprising just my Canon 6D fitted with a 50mm prime lens to take multiple overlapping frames for a subsequent panoramic stitch in Adobe Lightroom.
And then it was back to Kinsale and a search for a restaurant that was actually open. (Successful I'm glad to say - and very nice too at the Fishy Fishy).
