The sun had not long disappeared over the southwestern horizon as my wife Liz and I took one last stroll around the harbour at Kinsale in County Cork, Ireland, before heading back to our hire car for the drive to Cork airport and the flight back home.
We'd been on a pre-Christmas visit to see our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in Limerick, and with a few hours to spare before our flight home from Cork airport, Kinsale was the obvious choice to add some extra enjoyment to our stay.
But it was very hard to leave, especially when confronted with scenes like this, of yachts in the marina reflecting beautifully in the still waters of the harbour below.
Getting this photo was a bit of a challenge, as having flown with RyanAir, using carry on bags only, the tripod which I would usually use in these low light conditions was safely at home in North Wales.
Hence the very high ISO used to enable a handheld exposure.
