Lough Derg, straddling County Clare and County Tipperary in the centre-west region of Ireland, is a magnificent and dramatic body of water.
Best seen from above, this panoramic image was captured from a viewpoint on the Tipperary side of the lake, looking towards Clare at sunset under very threatening skies.
Once I'd taken the frames need to construst this panoramic view I couldn't resist shooting several hundred more still frames in order to make my two time lapse videos Lough Derg Clouds Timelapse #2 and Lough Derg Clouds Timelapse #3.
Mind you, I did get a bit wet in the process!
Only to be expected in this part of the world, and a shower cap kept the camera dry while shooting.
