Close to sunset on a 'soft' evening in Ireland and my wife Liz and I have driven up the Tipperary side of the huge and beautiful Lough Derg to one of our favourite viewpoints to watch the light play over the lake.
As usual for this part of the world, dramatic clouds were scudding across the darkening skies but down below us the surface of Lough Derg was almost a flat calm, reflecting the passing patches of light and dark on its still surface.
Towards the end of this particular time lapse shoot, after our picnic tea had been eaten, we were entranced by the passage of a solitary boat across the lake, with its wake fanning out across the waters.
A fitting end to this time lapse clip, but we stayed on as the arrival of dusk drew a veil of darkness over the land.
But that's another story and another time lapse.
