When on holiday, my wife Liz and I rarely visit the same spot twice, but for the small town of La Garita on the Atlantic coast of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands we made an exception.
This fascinating stretch of rugged volcanic coastline is relatively undeveloped and free of tourists, a fact which is reflected in the very reasonable prices in the seaside café where we stopped for a pizza.
But pizzas aside, the shoreline is just fascinating and very dramatic, a photographer's dream in fact.
This image shows a stretch of the volcanic shoreline features being buffeted by swells from the Atlantic ocean, with the town of La Garita in the background.
But I didn't just take still photographs of this view, but I also shot a real time video and a time lapse video showing the waves crashing and receding on the rocks.
