Sat on the promenade at Deganwy on the North Wales coast, shooting hundreds of RAW files for my time lapse video 'Sunset Time Lapse 14', I was sort of disappointed when the sun disappeared into a murky band of cloud sitting on the horizon just off the headland at Penmaenmawr.
But I needn't have worried, as the clouds over the Conwy estuary coloured up beautifully just after sunset proper, and I was able to finish off my time lapse in fine style.
This image is just one frame taken during the early part of my filming session, showing the sun half gone into that bank of cloud, but still colouring the sky and sea with a vivid orange glow and showing the headland at Penmaenmawr as a hazy silhouette.
