One of the 'hidden gems' of the Snowdonia National Park is Cregennan Lakes, nestled at the foot of the mountain Cader Idris and overlooking the stunning Mawddach Estuary.
My wife Liz and I usually make a couple of day trips here during the summer months to enjoy the scenery and take a hike around the two lakes, plus some photography of course!
On this occasion in early summer 2017 we arrived in mixed weather, and ended up eating our picnic lunch in the car during a downpour.
But the weather soon cleared and we enjoyed our tramp around the lakes in the freshly washed crystal clear air.

Anyhow, just after we got back from our hike, and before heading down to spend the evening at Fairbourne to watch the sunset over the Mawddach Estuary, I took the opportunity to capture a series of overlapping still images, encompassing the entire sweep of the lakes, to merge later in Adobe Lightroom to make this lovely panoramic collage.
A fitting reminder of a lovely day's outing in such a beautiful place.
