A day of very active weather in Snowdonia, Wales, found my wife Liz and I at one of the most beautiful spots on the planet - Cregennan Lakes high in the mountains of Snowdonia at the foot of Cader Idris.
Having weathered a downpour safely ensconed in our car, we then took a hike around the two lakes as the skies cleared and a warm sun had us shedding layers of clothing as we went.
Back at the car park, and with the weather now being so nice, I decided to set up my camera by the side of the larger of the lakes for a time lapse session.
The contrast in weather from just an hour or so before had to be seen to be believed, and you can watch a time lapse taken a couple of hours previously under very different conditions at this link.
Sitting on a rock by the side of a beautiful lake, with mountains in the background and sunlight and shadow playing over the landscape in front of you - where else would you want to be?
