A few days spent exploring the beauties of southern Snowdonia wouldn't be complete without a trip to the stunning Cregennan Lakes, nestles at the foot of Cader Idris, one of Snowdonia's 'signature' mountains.
Staying for a long weekend at Barmouth on the west Wales coast meant I was able to indulge in an early start and be at the lakeside well before sunrise, in order to capture the several hundred still images needed to create my Cregennan Lakes Timelapse #8 video, showing the change from night to day over the lake waters and surrounding peaks.
Having finished the time lapse shoot I was loth to just pack up and head back to Barmouth straight away, so I indulged further in a few more photos of the lake and landscape, bathed in clear early morning light, before finally packing away and heading back to our AirBnB cottage for breakfast.
What a wonderful way to start the day!
