Barmouth, on the west coast of Wales in southern Snowdonia, is a wonderful place to watch a summer sunset from.
With the mountains of the Llyn Peninsula to the northwest, all that's needed for a spectacular sunset is a clear sky at the horizon.
And that's just what my wife Liz and I enjoyed during our long weekend here in late April 2021, revelling in a bit of post-covid lockdown freedom.
Somehow, most evenings, we managed to end up at the far end of Barmouth promenade, watching the waves crash into and over the sea wall at high tide and catching the wonderful sunsets.
Of course, I made the most of the photographic opportunities, capturing still images, time lapse sequences and real time video in this amazing spot.
This image is telephoto shot of the sun setting over the Llyn Peninsula, with a crown of beautifully lit clouds arcing across the heavens above.
