The final day of the holiday the my wife Liz and I enjoyed in England's Lake District in the summer of 2020, and we didn't want to drive straight home on such a beautiful day.
So instead we decided to head eastwards across the Cumbria border into the Yorkshire Dales.
Well, we hadn't gone far over the border until we came across this magnificent view out over the rolling hills, with passing cumulus clouds painting a tableau of sunlight and shadow over the fields and valleys.
Time for a picnic and a spot of time lapse shooting then.
We were soon joined by a very friendly and very pregnant wild pony, who insisted on scratching her nose on my tripod leg!
This cost me the first few seconds of my timelapse, as my tripod took a lurch in the process, so I tempted her away with bits of apple and let the camera run on for a few extra minutes.
Which was no hardship under the circumstances!
