Dramatic clouds were scudding over Colwyn Bay in the stiff breeze on the North Wales coast as my wife Liz and I enjoyed a coffee at Porth Eirias.
It was a great day for generating electricity, with the offshore wind turbines of the Colwyn Bay wind farm spinning away like mad.
Those white painted turbine towers were also doing a great job of catching the intermiitent patches of sunlight shining through the clouds - ideal conditions for a time lapse video as well as creating power.
So while we sipped our coffee I had my camera mounted firmly on my tripod, clicking away for twenty minutes to record this scene.
Previously when recording time lapse sequences of wind turbines going round I would use a fast shutter speed to freeze the motion of the blades, but on this occasion I decided to try the opposite approach and instead used a relatively slow shutter speed to allow the turbine blades to blur.
Maybe next time I'll try a shutter speed in the middle and see what happens.
