A frisky weather day on the North Wales coast found my wife Liz and myself huddled over a hot cup of coffee in the car park of the newly completed Porth Eirias complex on the seafront at Colwyn Bay.
The breeze was rocking our car on its springs as I sheltered behind a concrete bollard with my trusty old Canon 5D mounted on my Manfrotto tripod, set as low as it could go to avoid getting blown over.
The reason for this foray was to take enough still images of the offshore windfarm to make into this timelapse video sequence, showing very impressive storm clouds racing by overhead and dwarfing the turbines below.
After half an hour's effort I had enough stills for my purposes, and we only just made it back to the car before the heavens opened, bombarding the area we had just been in with largeish chunks of hail.
Who said photography was a relaxing hobby!
