Sunset on a spring evening over the Vale of Clwyd in North Wales.
Just a fifteen minute drive from our home found my wife Liz and I parked by the side of the road overlooking this beautiful view of the rolling welsh countryside that lies in-between the Clwydian Range of mountains to the east, and Snowdonia to the west.
With the atomspheric haze caused by a prolonged spell under a high pressure weather system adding an ethereal quality to the scene, it was soon time to get out the camera and start shooting the hundreds of still images needed to create this time lapse video.
Normally, in this part of the world, there is a band of cloud close to the horizon which prevents me from capturing a 'clean' sunset.
But on this evening the skies were clear all the way down to the silhouettes of the misty hills, and we watched entranced as the final, twinkling diamond of sunlight disappeared from view.
What a great way to end the day, experiencing the the clockwork precision of God's creation in action.
