The end of a lovely day in the middle of September 2020 found my wife Liz and I enjoying the fresh air and warmth on the slopes of our local hill, Moel Famau, the highest peak in the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in North Wales.
Looking westwards out over the Vale of Clwyd to the peaks of Snowdonia in the far distance I was entranced watching the sun slowly setting while clipping the upper edge of a moving bank of cloud over the mountains.
Not wanting to miss the moment I quickly set up my camera and tripod and commenced taking the hundreds of evenly spaced still images needed to create this time lapse video of the sunset.
The show didn't last long before the sun finally sank without trace behind the cloudbank, but for those few minutes the play of light was just gorgeous to watch.
