This must be the ultimate in lazy photography!
Imagine rolling out of bed in the warm, pre-sunrise air of the Canary Islands, putting the kettle on for the first coffee of the day, strolling out onto your balcony looking southeast out over the Atlantic Ocean and setting up your camera on a nice, firm, concrete ledge, ready to catch the sunrise through the crisp, clean sea air.
Well, I had two weeks of doing just that during the holiday Liz and I enjoyed on Tenerife in February 2025, while back home our patch of north Wales was shivering in the cold and damp.
And every morning the sunrise was slightly different, with varying amounts of cloud and haze, making each morning's shoot that little bit special.
