The south coast of Tenerife is primarily known for its highly developed tourist resorts, but look carefully and there are still some coastal towns that are relatively undeveloped.
One such is the fishing village, or small town, of La Caleta de Adeje, just to the north of the main resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Christianos.
La Caleta has retained much of its charm, and was a 'must visit' for my wife Liz and I during our two week stay on Tenerife during February 2025.
So after enjoying an excellent meal in the Restaurante Celso on the harbourside, we sat outside in the warmth watching and filming as dusk fell over the Atlantic ocean and the lights of the buildings along the shoreline at La Caleta glowed ever brighter against the darkening skies.
