Following directly on from capturing the still images for my Stockholm Sunset Timelapse #1 video, stood on the upper deck of a cruise liner docked at Stockholm's Vikingterminalen in a chilly evening breeze, I swung my camera clockwise though a few degrees to capture dusk falling over the visually very appealing Gröna Lund amusement park.
At this northerly latitude in summer, evening twilight never really goes away, and the skies above the amusement park faded very slowly through a deepening shade of orange until the artificial lights of the rides, and the Stockholm skyline in the background, finally took centre stage.
So in the end, having stood in place high above the waters of the Baltic sea for two and a half hours, much to the bemusement of my fellow pasengers, I finally called it a night and headed back down for a warming cup of coffee and bedtime.
Still, when you're presented with a 'once in a lifetime' photographic opportunity you make the effort, don't you?
