I'm a sucker for a lovely sunset, so when the late afternoon sky started to turn orange as I was driving across Anglesey I made a detour up to the cliffs at South Stack to check out the action.
South Stack, with dramatic vistas out over the iconic lighthouse and sheer cliffs, is an amazing place to watch the sunset from, with an unimpeded view out over the Irish Sea to the far western horizon.
And I wasn't disappointed, with the sun sinking below the horizon followed by the evening clouds picking up the glorious colours of twilight before the light finally faded from the sky.
