This is my latest effort in the realm of time lapse video, and the first time I've attempted an 'into the sun' composition.
The location is South Stack lighthouse, on the northwest tip of the island of Anglesey, just off the north Wales coast.
I wasn't at all sure how this would turn out, what with the huge contrast range and all, but with good old Adobe Camera Raw providing such a wealth of adjustments for the 800 odd JPEGs that make up this clip I think it's turned out rather well.
I especially like the change of colour temperature as day fades into night, with the lighthouse itself providing a solitary unmoving element in a video sequence in which everything else is in a constant state of flux.
The next trick I want to master is how to show the Milky Way wheeling overhead once night has fully arrived, but I think I might need higher ISO capability to achieve that.
