A beautiful golden glow was lighting up the horizon as my wife Liz and I drove up the winding road to the top of the South Stack cliffs on the northwest tip of the Isle of Anglesey, just off the North Wales coast.
An ideal opportunity then, to set up my camera and film this time lapse video of the sun setting over the iconic South Stack lighthouse.
It's very rare in this part of the world for the sky above the horizon to be free of cloud, so I knew this sunset was going to be something special, and I wasn't disappointed.
So I stood on the cliff edge, watching and filming as the towering cliffs glowed in the evening light and the lighthouse light became more visible as the sky slowly darkened.
And finally it was time to stop and head back to the car for the drive home along the North Wales coast, taking in views of the mountains of Snowdonia, set against the twilight sky.
Was a wonderful experience of God's love shown in creation.
