A sunset without the sun. Fairly typical of an early April afternoon on the North Wales coast.
But whether the sun puts in an appearance or not, the view to the west out over the South Stack lighthouse never disappoints.
And on this particular occasion my wife Liz and I were treated to a spectacular dispaly of sunbeams shooting through the broken cloudbank over the lighthouse, as the sun dipped inexorably towards the far horizon.
Mind you, it was blowing a gale and definately on the chilly side, so as soon as I'd collected the six hundred still images needed to create just twenty seconds of time lapse video, it was back to the car for a warm up before the drive back home.
