A cold, crisp, clear winter's day in January 2025 and my wife Liz and I enjoyed a wonderful day out, spent touring around the beauty spots (well, just a few of them!) in the Snowdonia (now called Eryri) National Park in North Wales, just an hour's drive from our home near Mold.
We were driving along the A4086 towards Snowdon (Yr Wydffa) when I just had to stop in a convenient layby to record these wonderful waves of cloud pouring over the Snowdon Horseshoe as the air rose upwards from the Nant Gwynant valley to the west.
And the scene was made complete by the white rim of snowfall, clinging to the upper slopes of Snowdon itself and bathed in the clear winter sunlight.
What a stunning scene!
