4am on a beautiful morning in late May and I'm standing entranced by the side of a stream at the base of the Glyderau mountains as dawn light steals across the sky over the peak of Tryfan.
A couple of days of good weather is a rarity in this part of the world, and not to be missed, so a wake up at 2.30am, followed by an hour and a quarter's drive was the order of the day to reach this stunning spot an hour before sunrise at 5am.
The scene was one of perfect calm, with the only sound being the sussurant hiss of water tumbling over the stones at my feet, punctuated by the occasional mournful croak of a crow winging its way overhead.
I stood filming for this time lapse for two hours, just soaking in the peace and beauty surrounding me and watching as the rising sun poured light like liquid gold over the slopes and ridges of this undulating landscape.
It was very relucantly that I finally stopped filming, packed everything away and headed back down the path to my car for the dash back home in time to get to work for 8am.
Still, what a way to start the day!
