One thing that the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales has in abundance (as well as mountains, that is!) is interesting weather.
With warm, moist air blowing in off the sea being forced upwards by the high ground, dramatic, fast moving clouds are the order of the day.
My wife Liz and I were taking a drive around some of our favourite Snowdonia beauty spots one Saturday in July 2020 in just such weather, and as we turned a corner in Capel Curig we were greeted by this magnificent view of the peaks of the Snowdon Horseshoe with storm clouds streaming over the summit and with the turbulent waters of Llyn Mymbyr below.
So, of course, we stopped for half an hour to allow me to capture the hundreds of still images need to create this time lapse video, showing a speeded up version of thise dramatic storm clouds streaming over the mountains.
And then it was on to the next amazing view for which this part of North Wales is rightly famous.
