A wild March afternoon in the Snowdonia National Park, and the weather is doing its '4 seasons in half an hour' thing as my wife Liz and I park up above Llyn Mymbyr, hoping to watch the sunset over the peaks of the Snowdon Horseshoe, still carrying the vestiges of the winter snowfall on their higher slopes.
Thoughts of a sunset quickly fade as a fresh batch of storm clouds blow across the sky from the north, blanketing the mountains in walls of pulstating light and darkness.
So no sunset, but every cloud has a silver lining (literally in this case!) as the dramatic weather action and scenery proves to be ideal for a time lapse video.
So it's out with the camera and tripod for twenty minutes' worth of shooting the hundreds still images needed to create just these few seconds of time lapse video.
And to enjoy the magnificent Snowdonia scenery of course!
