A brief weather window weather over the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales in the winter of 2017 was all the excuse my wife Liz and I needed to head off across country through the snow to view the mountains, lakes and forests of this wonderful part of the world.
After a quick stop at the Moel Siabod Cafe for a coffee we headed along the A4086 to one of the best views in Snowdonia, looking out over the waters of Llyn Mymbyr to the dramatic peaks of the Snowdon Horseehoe beyond.
Dramatic clouds were sweeping over the summits, with patches of light and shadow racing across the slopes by the lake, so instead of just taking a still image of the scene, as I'd originally planned, I decided to create this time lapse video instead.
After all, when nature provides a show like this, you're sort of beholden to make the most of it, aren't you?
