A period of active weather over the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales in the summer of 2017 found my wife Liz and I spending a Saturday driving round familiar haunts, dodging the showers and enjoying the brief spells of sunshine.
This mountainous region attracts clouds like a magnet, and this particular weekend saw some fantastic shows of sunlit storms streaming over the peak of Snowdon and the surrounding ridges of the Snowdon Horseshoe.
I couldn't let such a spectacle go unrecorded, so I pulled over into a convenient viewpoint on the A4086 to shoot this time lapse video of the magnificent scenery and those roiling clouds.
