The North Wales coast is a visually dynamic place, with chageable weather, lighting conditions and, of course, tides.
I arrived at Rhos-on-Sea in the afternoon on a cold and windy December day, just as the tide had started to ebb, slowly revealing this lovely wooden jetty as the waters of the Irish Sea receded.
Perfect material for a time lapse video shoot, especially as I knew that dusk would soon be falling over the scene, and the lights of Colwyn Bay in the far distance would make a great backdrop as they slowly grew brighter and brighter against the darkening landscape.
And so it proved to be as for the next two and a half hours I watched and filmed until the outgoing tide had revealed the complete length of the jetty and the scene grew progressively darker as night fell.
Mind you, I was glad when it was finally time to pack up and get the car's heater going for the drive back home!
