A somewhat gloomy and overcast evening in May 2025 found my wife Liz and I enjoying a bracing walk along the promenade at Prestatyn on the North Wales coast.
I'd not held out any realistic expectations of being able to film a sunset this time, but on the north Wales coast you never know what the weather's going to do next.
So when a few lighter patches appeared in the clouds over the turbines of the Gwynt-y-Môr offshore windfarm, I thought I might just set up my camera, set it off recording video, and see what happened.
And I'm certainly glad I did, as those light patches of cloud developed into actual gaps, through which glimpses of setting sun tantalisingly appeared, before finally disappearing below the horizon of the Irish Sea.
Every day is different here in the atmospheric battleground over north Wales!
