A lovely Saturday in late September 2020 found my wife Liz and I exploring the beautiful coastline and landscapes of southern Snowdonia, around Barmouth and the Mawddach estuary.
Our adventure began with a walk across the famous railway bridge at Barmouth, followed by a drive inland along the banks of the Mawddach up to the old wooden toll bridge at Penmaenpool.
Crossing the bridge (and paying the toll of course) we decided to pull into the George III pub car park for a drink.
So while we were sitting outside sipping our coffees I used the opportunity to set my camera and tripod up by the side of the river and capture the few hundred still images needed to create this time lapse video showing light summer clouds drifting over the bridge and surrounding beautiful landscape.
So after we'd finished our coffees we sat in the warm late afternoon sun for a few minutes more before getting back in the car and heading back to Barmouth to catch the sunset out over the Irish Sea.
Not a bad way to spend a day!
