It was a rare cloudless evening in the Glyderau mountain range in Snowdonia, North Wales, and I was taking full advantage of the late evening sun as its dying rays graced the boulders and crags of the beautiful Pen Yr Olwen.
This conical peak sits at the end of Llyn Ogwen, and marks the boundary between the Glyderau and Carneddau mountain ranges.
The stills for this sequence were shot at the outflow from Llyn Idwal at the bottom of the Devil's Kitchen, as I lay on a rock and listened to the water flowing as the sun set behind me.
I really like shooting timelapse, as unlike still photography or live action video, there's plenty of time to relax and contemplate as the camera does its thing, rather than rushing around looking for new angles and compositions all the time.
And where better to relax than by the side of a stream in North Wales as day fades into night.
