One of the most famous boulevards in the world, the Champs Elysees in Paris, certainly lives up to its reputation.
By day you can stroll from the Jardin des Tuileries along its length up to the Arc de Triomphe, mixing with the rich and famous (I didn't see any), but by night the action is just as frenetic on the road and around the racetrack that is La Place de Charles de Gaulle roundabout that surrounds the Arc itself.
To make this video I spent just under an hour in the middle of the night standing on a traffic island in the centre of the Champs Elysees as cars, vans, coaches, and a mobile disco bus swirled past me in a mad dance, first facing east along the length of the Champs, and then facing west looking at the Arc de Triomphe.
It was a crazy hour, and the video conveys some of the frantic traffic action at this renowned location.
