Moon Timelapse #4

License this video (5K, 4K, and HD formats available)

The story behind this video

I have two favourite moon phases when I'm out photographing, full moon is one and the other is a new cresent moon.

The reason why I like these two moon phases over all the others is that the moon is moving close to the horizon while there's still light in the sky from the just set sun.

This time lapse video shows a new crescent moon heading down behind broken clouds, following the sun towards the western horizon over the North Wales coast at Llandudno, although I decided to leave the surrounding landscape out of this clip, just concentrating on the moon itself.

Rather engaging and enigmatic.
