A lovely, fresh spring day in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, and my wife Liz and I are busy re-visiting some of our favourite spots following the easing of coronavirus restrictions in late March 2021.
Our chosen route took us through Llanberis, up the pass of Llanberis, over Pen-y-Pass and then left towards LLyn Mymbyr and Capel Curig.
But before we got to Capel Curig we drove along the side of the beautifully shaped mountain called Moel Siabod (translated as 'shapely hill') and I just had to pull over into a layby to shoot this short time lapse video.
What got my photographic juices flowing was the play of light and shadow over the undulating landscape, as fluffy white cumulus clouds drifted by overhead - just entrancing!
So it was the work of just twenty minutes or so to record the nearly 600 still frames needed to create this time lapse, with the light and shadow constantly changing in a wonderful chiaroscuro dance, before firing up the car and heading off to the next beautiful Snowdonia location.
How blessed are we to live in north Wales!
