The stills for this timelapse video were taken over the course of a very cold hour, standing near the summit of Moel Famau in North Wales, near where I live.
The view looks out across the Vale of Clwyd towards Prestatyn on the coast, and if you look carefully you can just make out the huge windfarm just a little out to sea.
But making a video of the windfarm wasn't my intention. I wanted to capture the movement of the stars, using the lights of Prestatyn and the radio mast at Moel-Y-Parc as framing.
After an hour's worth of shooting the sky had lightened to the point where the stars were hardly visible, and as my batteries and I were spent in the cold, I decided to call it a day.
Still, a beautiful morning to be up and about, much better than lying in a warm bed!
