I didn't know this, but apparently this tree is quite famous, it even has its own marker on google maps!
Anyhow, famous or not, the lone tree of Llyn Padarn in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, makes for a great photographic subject, although I've yet to catch it in conditions calm enough to give a reflection.
On this occasion a stiffish breeze was ruffling the surface of the lake and blowing a variety of clouds over the tree and the mountains of Snowdonia in the background, so no good for a reflection photo but ideal conditions for a time lapse sequence.
I'll just thave to keep coming back to this beautiful part of the world to capture this view in a variety of conditions, including calm I hope!
What a hardship!
