A gorgeous afternoon's drive through the beauties of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales ended for Liz and me at one of my favourite overlooks at the northern end of Llyn Padarn by Llanberis.
The view from here is just fantastic, especially when there's some dramatic lighting going on.
The cold, early spring evening was well nigh perfect for time lapse photogaphy, with dramatic cumulus clouds sweeping over the lake and snow capped mountains while the low angled golden sunlight played over the landscape in an exuberant chiaruscuro dance.
I know I'm waxing lyrical here, but I just get so carried away with the jaw dropping loveliness of these combinations of light and location that every now and then come together in perfect harmony.
Another thing I got carried away with was the number of frames I took to make this video, over 2,000 in fact, and way more than was needed for twenty odd seconds of video.
Never mind though, as I solved that problem by constructing the video on a 4K 60fps timeline, and then rendering it at 720p and 30fps for a smooth video that lasts a sensible amount of time.
I just love experiencing the beauty of North Wales, and I'm really glad I have the ability to share what I see through these videos.
