Sandwiched between the twin mountain ranges of the Glyderau to the south and the Carneddau to the north, Llyn Ogwen is one of the jewels of the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
In the mountains the weather can change in an instant, so I made full use of a couple of hours of lovely sunshine to park up by the lake and take a short trek down to the water's edge to shoot the stills for this time lapse video.
Shooting into the sun on this occasion gave me a very high contrast effect, even with a neutral density graduated filter in place to mitigate the brightness of the sky, but I was quite pleased with the final result, showing some of the beauty I enjoyed on that lovely summer's afternoon.
